Asafa Powell, one of the two fastest men alive, is a proud Jamaican. His love for the sport and his anxiety over pleasing his Jamaican audience, caused him to under-perform in some world events. However, Asafa's resilience and prowess were evident in his stellar, record-breaking performance in the 4 X100 meter relay in Beijing. Asafa was determined to return to Jamaica with a gold medal and at the same time force the world into a state of self-induced amnesia (with regards to the male 100 meter finals).
